I Am Not A Girl That Can Ever Be Defined.

(Missing my family in Jamaica so much,it hurts to know that i’m not there to spend quality time with them and watch my lil cousins grow up.i wonder if all immigrants in america feel sometimes homesick like myself. )

•I miss the times we used to spend together at the beach,we’d always cook and everyone would gather and have fun and take pictures.

•I miss the times when the electricity would go out & my fam(cousins,aunts) would always come over our house ,we would sit outside and just talk about everything,tell scary stories n have lots of laughters.

•I miss my aunty Jascenth’s cooking!my bro and I would sometimes go to her house on sundays for some of her delicious sunday tradition dinner (rice and peas and chicken with some carrot juice).

•I miss seeing the pepper lights on the palm trees when its christmas and the coolish air that we used to think was so cold!!

•I miss hearing the crickets making sound at nights.it was like a lullaby to my ears, its rhytmic sound made me fall asleep in a jiffy.

•I miss wearing uniform to school and I miss polishing my school shoes

•I miss going to papa’s shop and getting whatever i want without paying &I miss riding my bike to mama’s house!she”d always give us something to bring home for ex:mangoes & other fruits.

•I miss going to guther wall river with my cousins.when going i used to make sure im not wearing the color red because in order to get to the river we had to cross a common where there were cows, people were saying that if a cow sees the color red it’ll attack the victim whos wearing it .(i didnt know if it was true and i didnt want to be the one who did the experiment.

•I miss climbing the apple trees in our backyard and swinging in the swing and sometimes hammocks that were tied underneath it.

•I miss waking up in the early morning seeing dew on the grass and fog outside and also over the mountains.The sights were amazing

•I miss buying digicel phone cards just to text my crush.

•I miss going to Montego-bay for christmas when my grandma came down from america and seeing the kute guy KC who i had a crush on.

•I miss hearing loud dancehall/ reggae music in some of the passby vehicles. .

•I miss watching my rude cousin andrae giving my aunt and uncle trouble.

•I miss seeing the beautiful beaches at negril.

•I miss eating ackee and fried breadfruit.

•I miss my uncle Richard who always be calling me mawma.

•I miss my little cousins kayla,Antoine,Dominic and Rihanna

•I miss my favorite cousin sash who is kind, loves to cook and fun to be around.

•I miss spending time with my cousins xania and sherika when they came down in the summer.

•I miss singing and writing songs with my cousin Danielle A.K.A Litty

•I miss shopping at sav-la-nah-mar on saturdays.

•I miss my funny cousin dorson who talks a little too much.

•I miss watering the flowers in the evening.

•I miss seeing the boys play cricket and football.

•I miss spending jamaican money.

•I miss visiting other distant relatives.

• I miss Uncle Fred who died recently.he was very kind, he would always give us something when we visit him. And he would tell us to go pick any amount of oranges we want in his orange field ( he usually sell the oranges but for us it was free since we were related) R.I.P Uncle Fred.

•I miss using umbrella in the summer sometimes to block the sun due to the fact that it was so hot!

• I Miss Heroes day and Independence day in Jam.

•I miss hearing people say jamaican swear words!

•I miss my dogs tiza and brisky.last time i visited they werent no where to be found (they died) :((

•I miss wearing summer clothes all year round!
